Adrian Moorhouse is the Managing Director of Lane4 and an Olympic Gold Medallist. Drawing on extensive commercial expertise and an elite sporting background, Adrian balances his leadership role with performance consultancy projects for our clients. He specialises in the fields of leadership development, organisational change and senior team facilitation. Adrian's approach to people development is shaped by both reaching his own sporting potential through coaching and his experiences of developing Lane4 into an international organisation over the last 15 years.
Leadership and Team Development
Adrian is both an accomplished leadership consultant and an experienced and respected leader. He works with senior teams and boards to facilitate effective communication and improved performance. Adrian has extensive experience working with FTSE100 board members to drive consistent leadership behaviours and role-modelling within teams. He has facilitated the development of merging and newly formed teams across regions through goal-setting and creating vision stories inline with business strategy. Ensuring that Lane4's interventions, tools and techniques are applied as effectively as they are explored is central to Adrian's approach. Through Return on Investment (ROI) measures he is able to demonstrate how leadership development impacts on employee engagement and performance in a number of industry sectors.
Organisational Change
Adrian works with organisations to ensure sustained high performance through significant transition periods. Working in partnership with clients, he is able to identify the risks associated with a change and deliver bespoke programmes as a result. Adrian has extensive experience of integrating senior teams as a result of mergers and sizeable change programmes. Following an acquisition announcement, he worked with a FTSE 100 supermarket group to deliver Lane4's Mental Toughness Programme to over 1000 managers. With an objective to improve retention and performance, the programme focused on developing self-confidence and active motivation, whilst providing new tools and skills to stay focused under the pressure. Adrian also led the Lane4 team supporting a £700m post-acquisition management programme to integrate the strengths of two leisure organisations, whilst building one culture. Sessions included team-building, appreciating differences, connection to vision & values and open feedback sessions between Board Directors and employees around the change process.
1:1 Coaching
Adrian is an accomplished senior executive coach with substantial experience across the utilities, manufacturing and professional service industries. His clients have included board members, CEOs and Managing Directors. Results include coaching people to communicate their vision effectively, thrive in pressurised environments, stepping up from a transactional management style to a more transformational leadership style, dealing with conflict amongst team members and improving the quality and effectiveness of appraisals.
