Leadership Skills
Janine draws on her elite performer background to make the connection between elite sport, sport psychology and business performance. Janine helps enhance internal and external customer experience through the development and training of managers and front-line leaders. She offers clients large-scale, learner-led training delivered with a coaching approach. Janine supports managers to move from a transactional management style to a more transformational leadership style.
Coaching Skills
Using her experience of elite sporting success, Janine knows what makes a good coach and how a good coach can bring out the best in the coachee. Developing good coaching skills is key to developing managers who employees will trust and follow. Janine is an accredited performance coach and works closely with clients to develop a coaching approach to management, so that managers can evolve from experts to facilitators - encouraging individuals to realise that they can find, and already have, the answers themselves.
Mental Toughness
Janine provides insight into the concept of mental toughness and how it benefits individuals and teams. Janine works with managers to provide tools and techniques that help develop mental toughness and offers practical guidance on how to develop this for business success.

Background
Janine went to Loughborough University where she qualified with a BSc in Sports Science followed by a MSc Sports Science specialising in Sport Psychology. Janine grew up in Yorkshire and has always enjoyed sports, especially swimming. In 1996, the same year as completing her GCSEs, Janine qualified for the Atlanta Olympic Games as part of the swimming team.
During the eight years that Janine was on the Great Britain Senior Swimming Team, she took part in every level of competition - European Championships, Commonwealth Games, World Championships and a second Olympic Games in Sydney 2000. Janine won a Gold medal at the 2001 World Championships as part of the 4x200m swimming freestyle relay team. They became the world record holders.
Janine joined Lane4 in 2008 and previously had the role of Product Consultant. Prior to Lane4 she has worked in marketing with clients in the retail, leisure and pharmaceutical industries and also began her working life in sports and event management.
