Jeremy Cross is an Associate Consultant at Lane4 whose belief in human potential enables him to facilitate improved business performance across a variety of sectors. His approach is drawn from his experiences as an elite performer, a sport psychologist and business consultant. His personal experience and research in the fields of elite sport and boardroom affectiveness are expertise that he uses to inform his consulting work at Lane4.
Coaching for Performance
Jeremy specialises in developing and embedding coaching cultures for sustained performance. His coaching expertise fall into a number of categories: development of line managers as coaches, developing internal coaches, and the implementation of
coaching cultures. For 6 years he was responsible for directing the Lane4/Middlesex University Coaching Performance Excellence Programme which is run bi-annually. He is committed to raising the standards and professionalism of business coaches across all sectors, has spoken at the Association of Coaching Annual Conference and is regularly sought after for comments in the media around the subject. Jeremy also supervises coaches to ensure quality and best practice for the organisations engaged in coaching, protection for their coachees and to provide education and support to the internal coach.
1:1 Coaching
Jeremy is a highly experienced executive coach and is continually fascinated by the significant impact well executed coaching can have on the performance. He has worked with business leaders, board members and line managers, across a variety of sectors including retail, banking, utilities, energy, professional services and healthcare. His coaching relationships occur across many business functions and he works with individuals to facilitate sustained individual development through goal setting, giving and receiving feedback, effective questioning and generating self belief.
Leadership Development
Jeremy is an experienced leadership consultant having delivered bespoke leadership programmes in the retail, leisure and financial sectors. He has worked with high performing associates at a leading investment bank to challenge their ways of working and develop the personal leadership required to maintain high performance in high pressured environments.The programme's key objective was to increase retention and in the eighteen months following the programme this increased by more than 5 fold. In addition, he recently facilitated the delivery of sustained performance through developing effective leadership skills at a FTSE100 supermarket and a successful executive leadership programme at a global utilities company.
Team Development
Jeremy has worked with board and leadership teams at varied business levels to support bid consortium integration, strategy development and performance improvement.This has included facilitating, off site events, team development programmes and Learning Groups for top teams, within the retail, professional services and constrution industries.

Background
Jeremy is an Associate Consultant who specialises in leadership coaching and senior facilitation. He draws upon his experience and research in elite sport to specialise in Performance Coaching, Leadership Development, High Performance Environments and facilitating team and individual performance.
Jeremy has raised money for the children's charity SPARKS through participating in various challenges, including running the London Marathon and climbing the UK's highest three peaks in 24 hours. Jeremy volunteered as a UNICEF leader at the Athens Olympic and Doha Asian Games Youth Camps.
Jeremy has played tennis full time, competing in the qualifiers for Wimbledon and is currently in the UK top 10 over 35. A qualified performance tennis coach, Jeremy has also worked with regional and national champions, including the former British women's number one.
Jeremy received a Ph.D in Sport Psychology from Loughborough University in 2004. He is currently researching boardroom assessment for his MBA from Henley Business school. Jeremy was chosen as sport psychologist for his native Jersey at the 2006 & 2010 Commonwealth Games. Jeremy has worked closely with the GB Men's Hockey Team in the lead up to their first European Championship win in 2009..
