Lane4 present at EMCC Coaching and Mentoring Conference

Lane4's Dr. Jenny Denyer and Practice Director, Jonathan Zniemer explored coaching agility at the EMCC Coaching and Mentoring Conference on 7 May.

Drawing on a research project into high performance coaching funded by England Squash, the pair explored the concept of coaching agility, its application to coach development in any context and its central relationship to supervision.

Often coaches get 'stuck' in their coaching relationships. This reflective and participative session examined how to develop coaching agility by gaining insight into our mental models (values, beliefs, taken for granted assumptions) and our coaching processes (unquestionable routines, procedures).

The session went on to cover how altering these patterns can produce a more effective coaching relationship and a marked improvement in performance outcomes for the coachee.
