Liz Campbell is Europe Consultant Director at Lane4. Her approach to people and organisational development is drawn from an accomplished sport psychology and academic research background. Combining this with extensive commercial experience, Liz specialises in organisational, leadership and team development within the retail and public sector, with a particular interest in health care.
Leadership and Team Development
Liz is an experienced leadership consultant having worked with senior leaders and board members in a range of organisations from FTSE 100 retailers to numerous NHS Trusts. She has designed, implemented and evaluated programmes to ensure that leaders are able to provide vision, support and challenge to their teams at all stages of the business cycle. She works in partnership with clients to deliver programmes that are a key part of organisational engagement and performance strategies and demonstrate measurable Return on Investment (ROI).
Coaching for Performance
Liz is responsible for the strategic design and implementation of coaching for performance programmes for clients. This includes helping them to successfully develop coaching cultures and internal coaching capability during periods of significant change and business transformation. She has particular interest and experience in supporting clients in developing their own professionally accredited internal coaching resource. Liz is also an experienced and successful executive coach who works on a 1:1 basis with individuals across a range of business sectors.

Liz's key achievements include directing a High Performing Leaders Programme at a top retailer which led to an increase in employee engagement to 80%, a decrease in staff turnover and a staff loyalty increase of 7%. She has also run a leadership programme within a FTSE 100 supermarket to embed the company's leadership behaviours with the Operations Board and the top 1000 leaders of the business. The programme had a measurable impact on the business with engagement levels up to 75%; positive staff perceptions of the new leadership behaviours up 11% to 76% and the company reporting nine successive quarters of like-for-like
Health Care
Liz has worked in partnership with executive teams at large NHS Trusts to unlock leadership potential for sustained performance and lasting legacy. She has designed and delivered programmes to develop the internal coaching capability and leadership behaviours of nurses, pharmacists, anesthetists, HR Directors and consultants.

Background
Liz received a Ph.D. in Performance Psychology from Loughborough University in 1997. A former lecturer in Sport Psychology at Loughborough University, she has numerous publications in her specialist field.
Liz is an accredited psychologist with the British Olympic Association, was psychologist to the Great Britain team at the 1996 Paralympics Games in Atlanta and worked closely with the GB Wheelchair Basketball squad. Liz has also worked for the British Sports Association for the Disabled and has supported the Challenge Charity by working for three weeks at an orphanage in Romania.
In her past life, Liz played representative hockey for North England Juniors and British Polytechnics.
Liz joined Lane4 as a full-time consultant in 1997 and specialises in the retail and public Sector Industries. She is married to Ian and has two young children.
