25 March 2011

Lane4's Commercial Director Matt Rogan discused Buckinghamshire's contribution to the Olympic & Paralympic legacy since 1948 in his session at the Bucks 2012 Conference on 20 April.

Matt, author of 'Britain and the Olympic Games: Past, Present, Legacy' explained the role Buckinghamshire has played in delivering social change through sport since the last London Olympic Games in 1948.

Other sessions throughout the day included 'Counting Down - Landmarks & Opportunities over the next 500 days' presented by Ian Barham, Buckinghamshire Manager for the 2012 Games, and 'Supporting the London 2012 Games - A Sponsor Perspective'.

Buckinghamshire has a rich Olympic heritage as it is the County for Stoke Mandeville -  the birthplace of the Paralympic Games. For London 2012 Bucks will act as a host County to the Rowing, Sprint Canoeing and Adapted Rowing Competitions at Dorney Lake.
