Adrian Moorhouse chosen as an Olympic Torchbearer
26 June 2012
Lane4’s Managing Director Adrian Moorhouse has been chosen amongst the other 8,000 inspirational people from across the UK to carry the Olympic Flame. He will be running with the Olympic torch on Thursday 5th July in Felixstowe.
The Olympic Torch Relay will help shine a light on the whole of the UK – from dynamic urban areas to places of outstanding natural beauty. Torchbearers will carry the Flame through more than 1,000 cities, towns and villages in the UK.
Adrian has carried the torch before, acting as a torchbearer for the centennial torch in Athens, 1996, running around the ancient stadium.
Adrian commented: "I'm really proud to be running with the Olympic Flame for the second time - and this time on home ground. As a Team GB 2012 Ambassador and retired athlete it feels great to be welcomed back into the Olympic family. I look forward to running in Felixstowe - my family and I often holiday in Suffolk, and I think it's important to emphasise that the Olympics don't just belong to London - the impact and enthusiasm for the Games will be felt all over Great Britain.'
