Steve Gynes is a Principal Consultant at Lane4 who draws on extensive experience in the people development arena to support individuals, teams and organisations transitioning towards high performance. His consulting style is shaped by his practical approach and desire to see others fulfil and exceed expectations.

Leadership Development

Steve specialises in team and leadership development with more than 12 years consulting experience in this space. He works with leaders to develop a clear sense of shared responsibility across teams, facilitating the balance between individual needs and an organisation's need for a one team vision. From exploring and understanding their team's tensions and dynamics, to communicating a shared vision, Steve has worked with leaders across a range of industries in both private and public sector organisations.

Team Development

Steve works in partnership with clients to develop teams across multiple business areas and levels, including senior leadership teams and company boards and has consulted in the manufacturing, retail, utility, legal and financial sectors. His approach involves exploring what makes a High Performing Team; working with teams that are already high performing and want to sustain their performance; supporting under-achieving or dysfunctional groups; developing newly-formed teams and supporting existing teams with a new leader.

Coaching for Performance

Steve has extensive experience as a business and performance coach. He works with individuals across a range of organisational levels and industry sectors to facilitate improved performance through 1:1 coaching. Steve's role as a Principal Consultant also involves working in partnership with clients to establish development needs and the subsequent design and delivery of international programmes. He has successfully led the embedding of coaching cultures in manufacturing, retail and public sector organisations through experiential workshops, Action Learning Groups and supervised coaching sessions. Working with individuals and teams, Steve focuses on the use of coaching as leadership tool for sustained organisational performance. Creating an environment where people want to do things rather than being made, is central to his approach. Through programme evaluation and diagnostic measurement, Steve works with HR leaders to demonstrate the ROI of their people development interventions.

Organisational Change

Steve works with businesses during periods of significant organisational change to support individual and team performance. His approach is focused on maintaining productivity through engaged and motivated employees, helping retain key executives and staff and preventing revenue loss as a result of lack of customer focus or poor service.
