Academic Placement Years and Work Experience

Every year we offer a 10-month Academic placement at Lane4. The placements are limited and aimed at candidates who are studying a degree-level sandwich course with a year in industry. We’re always on the look-out for talented individuals to join our team and the application for students looking to complete an Academic placement year in 2018/19 will open in September 2017. 

 

 

We do offer work experience, provided it is part of an official work experience scheme supported by a school or educational institution. Unfortunately, outside of these criteria, we’re not able to offer internships or work experience at Lane4.

Graduates

Although we do not currently offer a Graduate Scheme, we are always excited to hear from high calibre individuals who would like to become part of the Lane4 team.

Developing Our People

Our performance-driven culture is balanced with genuine care and respect for each other. We have created an environment that focuses on both personal and professional development, giving our people the opportunity to be the best they can be.

 

Every employee is offered 10 development days per annum, plus numerous opportunities throughout the year to learn and develop. Formal internal development programmes, led by our own experts, include a Manager Development Programme, Coaching Accreditation Programme and Account Director Development Programme.

We also have monthly consultant development days, called Fab Fridays, as well as bi-annual product conferences led by our Product & Research team. These events are focused on ensuring both our delivery teams and our products remain at the cutting edge.

Having fun and spending down-time together is also important to us. Regular activities include a running club, cycling club, weekly outdoor boot camp, gardening club and monthly trips to the local pub!

Corporate Social Responsibility

Trans4ming people's lives in our wider community

We take our wider responsibilities very seriously and have a dedicated ‘Trans4m’ committee within Lane4 who drive our corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability agenda. Every Lane4 employee gets two full days a year to be a ‘trans4mer’ in our wider community.

Lane4’s vision is ‘to make a difference to organisational performance and people’s working lives’. Our CSR and sustainability agenda is closely linked to this, with the goal of changing peoples’ lives, unlocking their potential and helping them to transform themselves.

This is not about sporadic charitable initiatives (although many of our people do support charities outside of work, or undertake fundraising activities which we support), nor is it a ‘tick box’ exercise. We aim to create environments of sustainability, both outside and inside our organisation. At the heart is people giving their time to work with others, whether that’s 1:1 or in larger group environments.

Back in the office we promote recycling, aiming to work with suppliers that offer sustainably sourced products. We also encourage the use of sustainable modes of travel through our popular ‘ride to work’ scheme.
